The Skinny on the Minnie

Disney Launches their own Uber service

  • The vans will pick you up from any point in Walt Disney World and transport you to your choice of locations within the resort.

  • The car seats 6 guests, plus the driver. If you need more than one Minnie Van to accommodate your party, you can request a second vehicle.

  • Hours are expected to run similar to the bus schedule which is around 6:30am-12:30am

  • The current charge for each Minnie Van is a flat $20

  • No tipping is allowed!

  • Since these are official Disney vehicles, they can drop you off right at the front gate at any of Disney’s four theme parks! This is an amazing perk of the Minnie Vans! (unlike Uber which has to drop you off at the TTC)

  • Minnie Vans are available on property and will only travel to Disney destinations. That includes any Disney resort, McDonald's, Hess gas station, mini golf etc. (McDonald's and the gas stations located on property only)

  • Disney is creating their own app through Lyft so you can request a Minnie Van from your smart phone soon. Expected to launch July 26!

  • Handicap accessible vans are being magically enhanced currently and should be rolling into the fleet very soon!

  • Normal wheelchairs are able to be accommodated, but not ECVs or motorized wheelchairs.

  • There are currently about 20 Minnie Vans in rotation.

  • Cars are equipped with phone chargers in case you're running low!

  • Each Minnie Van has 2 Graco 4EVER car seats in the trunk ready for use. These seats can be used from infant (rear facing) all the way up to booster with just a seat belt. (Each Cast Member has been thoroughly trained at installing them for you. Five of the lead Cast Members on the Minnie Van team, completed the CPS Certification course and were additionally trained for teaching the Cast Member drivers.)

OVERALL: As another option to existing Disney and non-Disney transportation, it will be a consistent and welcomed service. You’ll have Cast Members who know and love Disney inside and out and will receive the type of friendly service that you’ve come to expect from Disney. We can definitely see value in being able to skip the long monorail lines after fireworks, private transportation around the resorts, or even hailing a Minnie Van for your Disney date or family dinners.
